LG Announces Specifications for UltraGear evo Gaming Monitor Series
The specifications have been made public for the new enthusiast-grade line of UltraGear evo gaming monitors. These monitors will be in their own class and showcased at CES 2026. Key technologies making their debut include 5K AI Upscaling, with five new monitors featuring advanced OLED and MiniLED panels.
Key Technologies
Core three technological innovations at the heart of the UltraGear evo series:
- 5K AI Upscaling: Using a built-in processor, this instantaneously processes any external input signals (FHD resolution or higher) to the monitor's native 5K resolution without needing heavier lifting by an external GPU.
- Fourth Generation Tandem OLED: This panel structure achieves a much-brighter picture with high color accuracy compared to its predecessor-generation, achieving UL-certified Perfect Black and Perfect Color
- MiniLED with Minimum Blooming: With 1.5 times more local dimming zones (2,304) and 5.9 times more LEDs than past models, this technology was able to achieve higher peak brightness with less halo effect through Zero Optical Distance technology.
