The Luna Ultra product specifications require the product to use a new hardware design which includes a dual camera system as its main feature. The system will operate with 3x optical zoom which will create functional differences when compared to its main competitor according to design documents and reports. The manufacturer has chosen to conceal visual materials from the public eye to create suspense yet the engineering of Luna Ultra will deliver its primary competitive edge through its adaptable optical capabilities.
Insta360 is launching a camera update which includes a new wireless microphone system known as Mic Air to enhance its product ecosystem. The company develops this audio system to achieve equal system capabilities with DJI Creator Combo products which have become industry standards. The company has developed this hardware system to establish a complete production environment which will attract content creators who use DJI equipment.
The market is waiting to see how Insta360 will manage its money because the entry point price for the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 currently ranges between $649 and $749 USD. The company has not revealed Luna Ultra pricing information yet because the product launches in April. The media will use the NAB Show floor to test these devices which will show whether Insta360's hardware can succeed against the current industry leader.
