OPPO A6c International Launch in Thailand Features a Massive 7000 mAh Battery with High Refresh Rate Display and Affordable Entry Level Price Configuration
The launch of the A6c smartphone marks OPPO's effort to boost their entry level product range for international markets. The manufacturer has prioritized longevity for this global launch, opting for a tangible boost in battery performance over the original domestic variant. The device becomes available in Thailand, which serves as a location where customers consider constant device functionality to be their main reason for purchasing.
The updated hardware centers on a 6.75 inch IPS panel that maintains a fluid 120 Hz refresh rate despite its accessible price point. The display shows a resolution of 1570x720 pixels but achieves outdoor visibility through its maximum brightness level of 700 nits. The Unisoc T7250 chipset drives the system together with 4GB of LPDDR4X memory. Users can select between two data storage options which include 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, plus a microSD slot for additional media and document storage.
The domestic model and the international version differ most in their power systems. OPPO has pushed the battery capacity to 7,000 mAh, which exceeds the previous 6,500 mAh battery found in the Chinese market version. The system will provide longer periods of standby power and active use time however, users must choose between using the system at its maximum power and experiencing faster reset times, which will require extended periods of wall charging.
The budget friendly device provides standard connectivity options which include NFC support and Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 5, while still supporting the older 3.5mm headphone port. The chassis provides basic protection against environmental conditions through its IP64 rating, which protects against dust and splash damage. A 13 megapixel primary sensor handles photographic duties, while a 5 megapixel selfie shooter provides basic imaging capabilities without offering high quality results.
Thailand serves as the main market for this international model, which OPPO has released. Entry level pricing establishes the base 4GB/64GB configuration at $145, which represents the lowest cost of the handset. The A6c belongs to the market of budget friendly international smartphones, as users who select 128GB storage will pay approximately $175 for their purchase.
