Acer Gaming Monitors Update Predator and Nitro Lines With Glass Free 3D Spatial Computing 5K Resolution and Ultra High 1000 Hz Refresh Rates Global Pricing and Availability Details
Acer has recently updated its gaming monitor product families with several new releases across the high end Predator and affordable Nitro lines. The new panels feature everything from glasses free 3D to ultra high refresh rates according to Acer's launch announcement. Every new model boasts tear free displays compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G SYNC to eliminate screen tearing.
Predator Line pushes 3D tech and esports speeds
The first of the new monitors to be announced, the 27 inch Predator XB273K 3D monitor, is Acer's most recent step toward spatial computing in three dimensions, with no special glasses required. It includes a set of integrated eye tracking sensors and offers a high refresh rate of 180 Hz. This display will render native 2D content into 3D experiences in real time using its integrated AI engine and processing power of your connected graphics card, adjustable via a new spatiallabs 3D hub, and supports some popular titles. The display is a 4K UHD panel and supports AMD FreeSync Premium.
The second Predator model that was announced is the new esports focused Predator X34 F1. This is a 34 inch curved monitor at WQHD resolution and 3440x1440 with a QD OLED panel and extremely high 360 Hz refresh rate. It also features an incredibly fast gray to gray response time of 0.03ms and a delta E rating less than 2 with 99% coverage of the DCI P3 spectrum and support for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500. This display utilizes Acer's proprietary Penta Tandem display which means it is composed of five layers of blue emissions to maximize its overall brightness and to give it a long LED lifespan. It is curved at an aggressive 1800R to give it a wide 21:9 aspect ratio that wraps around the user's view and has an integrated eye care system called BlueLightShield Pro and Flickerless technologies.
Nitro Series combines High Resolution and High Refresh rates
Acer also announced three new gaming monitors under its Nitro series aimed at enthusiast gamers and professionals alike. The first new monitor is the 34 inch curved Acer Nitro XV345CKR P. It offers a stunning 5K WUHD resolution (5120x2160) on a VA panel and comes equipped with a Mini LED backlight for up to 1000 nits of brightness as certified by VESA DisplayHDR 1000. It natively operates at 180 Hz, but users can utilize a technology called Dynamic Frame Rate that allows it to ramp up to 360 Hz while operating at QHD resolution. The XV345CKR P also offers a DCI P3 coverage of 95% with a delta E less than 2.
Next up in the Nitro series is the 31.5 inch Acer Nitro XV320QX which features a 5K resolution (5120x2880) at a 165 Hz native refresh rate. Like its curved brother, it also uses a VA panel and dynamic frame rate to achieve a blazing fast 330 Hz response rate when operating at QHD. Its response time is measured at 0.5ms and DCI P3 coverage at 95%, with support for Acer HDR400. Users will be able to control and adjust the monitor using either an infrared wireless remote or a dedicated smart dial on the monitor's stand itself.
The smallest of the new monitors to be announced under the Nitro series is the 27 inch XV273U F5 which packs an insane 540 Hz native refresh rate, reaching an incredible 1000 Hz through the use of Dynamic Frame Rate. It also comes in at QHD resolution with 2560x1440 pixels and achieves a Delta E less than 2, 95% DCI P3 color gamut, and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified. The XV273U F5 also features a clean, minimalist design with a contrasting black bezel frame and a white monitor back cover and stand.
