Audi has revealed the pricing and battery range for its upcoming A2 e tron. The compact electric vehicle is set to become the most affordable battery powered model in the brand lineup, starting at 38,200 euros in Germany. Buyers can expect up to 649 kilometers of range on a single charge.
To appeal to different driving needs, Audi is offering the vehicle with 3 battery capacities consisting of 50, 58, and 79 kilowatt hours. These batteries feed into 4 distinct power configurations, allowing buyers to choose between 125, 140, 170, and 240 kilowatts of motor output. This variety in battery sizing is what allows the highest tier configuration to reach the 649 kilometer range estimate under WLTP testing.
Aesthetic choices for the new model pay tribute to the classic aluminum space frame shape of the original A2 from decades ago. Modern design updates include a fully enclosed front grille and slim LED headlights to minimize wind resistance. The streamlined shell is a key reason the vehicle manages to hold such a high efficiency rating.

The small hatchback is scheduled to arrive at dealerships this autumn. At 38,200 euros, the new car undercuts the current Q4 e tron by nearly 10,000 euros. Audi executives hope the lower price point will attract younger buyers and refresh the brand identity.
