ZTE Nubia NaviX Ultra AI Agent Smartphone Features Physical Button and Doubao Software

ZTE has introduced the Nubia NaviX Ultra, a device it claims is the first AI agent smartphone. The hardware pairs a physical orange AI button with a software interface that places virtual assistants at the center of the mobile experience. But the company has yet to confirm key hardware specifications.

Replacing traditional applications with AI agents is a concept that several brands have attempted. Usually, companies simply layer a helper assistant on top of standard operating software. This new device intends to change that by running a dedicated interface built around the Doubao AI assistant. Whether this platform is built on Android or supports standard mobile downloads remains unknown.

The physical design looks clean and modern. Official renders show the device in white, pink, blue, and black. The front of the phone features very narrow borders and a small punch hole for the camera lens. A metal frame houses the standard volume and power keys alongside the dedicated orange AI button. On the back, a 3 camera array mimics the look of the iPhone Air, with a long LED flash positioned directly below the lenses.

ZTE has not shared pricing or retail availability for the smartphone. More detailed specifications are expected to emerge during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference this week. Industry watchers will be looking closely to see if the physical hardware matches the ambitious software claims.
