Colorful has launched the iGame X870E VULCAN W OC, a flagship white motherboard built for AMD AM5 processors. The enthusiast board features an integrated LCD monitoring screen, memory overclocking support reaching DDR5 10600 speeds, and 5 M.2 storage slots. It is currently available in China for roughly $595.
The board is built on a 10 layer server grade PCB using immersion gold plating and back drilling to protect signal quality. Power delivery relies on an 18 plus 2 plus 2 phase arrangement with 110 amp power stages, cooled by thick metal heatsinks and copper heatpipes. Instead of the standard 4 slots, Colorful chose a 2 slot DDR5 layout to maximize memory trace efficiency. This configuration supports speeds up to DDR5 8800 on Ryzen 9000 processors, DDR5 10600 on Ryzen 8000, and DDR5 8000 on Ryzen 7000 hardware.
Overclockers get dedicated hardware controls placed directly on the board. These physical tools include a dual BIOS switch, manual BCLK frequency buttons, and a single click auto overclocking trigger. The visual design stands out with a pearlescent white surface that changes color under different room lighting.
System monitoring is handled by a built in iGame Smart LCD display with a resolution of 268 by 800 pixels. It sits near the top of the board to show live operating temperatures, voltages, clock frequencies, and custom images. Storage options are extensive, offering 5 M.2 drive slots where 2 run on PCIe 5.0 lanes and the remaining 3 use PCIe 4.0 lanes.
External connectivity is equally fast. The rear I/O panel includes 2 USB4 Type C ports delivering 40 Gbps transfer speeds alongside 4K video output. For the front panel, the motherboard provides a 20 Gbps Type C header capable of delivering up to 60W of fast charging power to connected devices.
