GPD has shared early benchmark results for its upcoming Win Max 3 gaming mini laptop ahead of its official debut. The device runs on AMD Ryzen AI Max plus processors with integrated Radeon 8060S graphics based on RDNA 3.5 architecture. However, the company has not yet announced the final retail price for the portable machine.
The gaming computer will ship in 2 configurations, offering a choice between the Ryzen AI Max plus 395 and the Ryzen AI Max plus 388. GPD ran tests on the premium version, although they did not officially confirm which model was used. Operating at power levels up to 75W, the hardware aims to deliver desktop class performance in a compact frame.
Early test data shows excellent gaming performance at 1920x1080 resolution with high settings. In Apex Legends, the frame rate reached 190 fps, while Forza Horizon 5 hit 98 fps under the same conditions. Demanding titles including Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Borderlands 3 all maintained at least 70 fps. GPD did not share whether image upscaling software was active during these tests.
The portable machine is expected to go on sale by October. While GPD has kept the price secret, they indicated the device will cost less than the OneXplayer 3. That competing system, which relies on Intel Arc G3 Extreme graphics, starts at 1499 dollars and scales up to 1799 dollars depending on the configuration chosen.
