A fresh leak has revealed the display specifications for the upcoming OnePlus 16. The flagship phone features a custom BOE Oriental Screen 4.0 with an industry first global 165Hz refresh rate and custom display silicon. Further gaming enhancements tied to this new panel are expected to be detailed soon.
According to an insider on Weibo who tested the hardware early, the screen uses proprietary BOE X4 luminous material. Every single panel undergoes a 3 step factory calibration process to ensure precise color accuracy before leaving the production line. OnePlus also added the latest eye protection technology from parent company Oppo to reduce visual fatigue during extended daily use.
Designers gave the front of the device symmetrical ultra narrow bezels on all 4 sides. Under the glass sits a new self developed display processor built on an updated manufacturing process to drive high frame rates with lower power draw. While specific gaming features remain under wraps for now, early reports indicate the panel is designed to sustain maximum 165Hz smoothness across the entire user interface.
