Acer has expanded its portable computer lineup with 2 ultra lightweight Windows 11 laptops, the Swift Blade 14 and the Swift Air 16. The Swift Blade 14 focuses on pure portability with a total weight of just 799 grams, while the larger 16 inch model packs a dedicated NPU and a 120 Hz OLED screen. Both machines are scheduled to arrive in regional markets starting late this year.
Acer Swift Blade 14 Focuses on Minimal Weight
The Swift Blade 14 is built for maximum mobility without feeling like a fragile piece of hardware. It measures 12.9 millimeters thick and uses a hybrid chassis combining magnesium aluminum alloy with carbon fiber covers in marshmallow white or marshmallow blue. Under the hood, buyers get up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor, 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. That is plenty of power for everyday office work and creative tasks.
The 14 inch screen tops out with a 3K OLED panel running at 90 Hz with 400 nits of brightness and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Thin 4.3 millimeter bezels give the machine a 90% screen to body ratio. Physical connections include 3 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C ports and a standard audio jack. The entire system runs on a 50 Wh battery and features a physical privacy switch on the chassis for the FHD webcam.
Acer Swift Air 16 Delivers Large Screen AI Performance
For users needing more screen space, the Swift Air 16 steps up with an all aluminum chassis measuring 13.3 millimeters thick and weighing 1.5 kilograms. It runs up to the same Intel Core 7 350 processor but adds a dedicated NPU capable of 40 platform TOPS for local artificial intelligence tasks. Memory reaches 16GB of LPDDR5x, while storage tops out at 512GB on an upgradable drive that supports upgrades up to 1TB.
Display configurations include a 2880x1800 OLED panel running at 120 Hz with 500 nits of brightness, alongside an IPS touchscreen option. Audio is handled by 4 speakers with spatial sound processing. For power, the laptop relies on a 70 Wh battery paired with 100W fast charging that reaches 50% capacity in 30 minutes. Port options are also expanded here, offering 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports and 1 USB Type A port.
According to Acer, regional availability for the Swift Blade 14 begins in EMEA markets in December 2026. The Swift Air 16 will also reach EMEA in December 2026 before launching in North America in early 2027. Exact pricing and specific retail configurations will be confirmed by regional Acer branches closer to the on sale period.
