ASRock has launched the NUC BOX 300 series, a pair of compact mini PCs powered by Intel Wildcat Lake processors. Designed for entry level desktop environments, the new machines offer up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and full VESA mount compatibility in a tiny 0.63 liter chassis. The lineup includes the NUC BOX 320 and NUC BOX 304, giving budget buyers two distinct performance tiers.
The hardware is split across two configurations to suit different computing requirements. The NUC BOX 320 runs on an Intel Core 5 320 processor, while the more affordable NUC BOX 304 uses an Intel Core 3 304 chip. Both systems share the same minimalist black enclosure that weighs exactly 1kg. Setup takes very little space. The compact footprint makes them easy to mount behind a desktop monitor or attach directly to an office wall.
Memory and storage expandability remain accessible despite the ultra small form factor. Inside, you get 1 single SO DIMM slot capable of holding up to 64GB of DDR5 6400 memory. Storage relies on 2 dedicated solid state drive slots. There is 1 M.2 2280 slot with PCIe Gen 4 x2 speeds for primary storage and 1 M.2 2242 slot running at PCIe Gen 4 x1 for secondary drives. An extra M.2 2230 slot is prepped for a Wi Fi 6E wireless card.
Physical connectivity covers modern workstation and multi display setups. The chassis provides HDMI 2.1 display output alongside a fast USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C port for high speed data transfers. Standard peripherals plug into USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A connections, while a 2.5GbE ethernet port handles hardwired networking. This selection gives users reliable external connections without needing extra expansion docks.
