Framework Laptop 13 Pro Cuts Memory Prices with Micron LPCAMM2 Stock

Framework is dropping prices on memory upgrades for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro despite widespread cost increases across the computer hardware market. The price cut applies to configurations equipped with 32GB and 64GB Micron LPCAMM2 modules, with automatic refunds going out to previous buyers. But the company warns that the discount will only last until this specific inventory runs dry.

RAM costs have been climbing for months, yet Framework managed to secure a large shipment of Micron LPCAMM2 components at lower wholesale rates. Instead of keeping the extra margin, the company chose to pass the savings straight to consumers. Customers who already paid higher rates for shipped laptops will receive automatic price difference refunds directly to their payment method without filling out customer service forms.

The policy extends to customers still waiting in the production queue. According to an official pricing notice from Framework, all unshipped reservations up to Batch 10 will have their final balances reduced automatically. Shoppers within Batch 10 can also log into their accounts to swap their configuration to 32GB or 64GB modules to take advantage of the updated pricing.

Owners who purchased the DIY Edition of the laptop are also covered by the policy. If you already received your DIY machine, Framework allows you to return your original RAM modules in exchange for the cheaper stock, with the company paying for the return shipping postage. This level of post purchase support is rare in the personal computer industry.

Availability remains the only catch. Framework explicitly pointed out that this pricing relies on a single discounted batch of Micron hardware. Once these specific parts sell out, memory prices on the store could rise again. If additional low cost shipments arrive in the future, the company plans to distribute them on a first come basis.
