The arrival brings the powerful Warcraft villain into the nexus to expand the long running team brawler. Public testing begins on September 14 ahead of the full live release on September 28.
The announcement arrived as an unexpected highlight during the BlizzCon opening ceremony. Development updates for the title had slowed down considerably in recent years, making a fresh character addition a major development for the player base. The production team directly acknowledged the dedication of the community that kept the game active during the quiet period.
That tease points toward broader plans for the game beyond a single character release. While Blizzard did not detail a full roadmap, bringing new heroes into the rotation shows active production resources returning to the project. Players will be able to test the ability kit on the public test realm starting September 14 before the update deploys globally on September 28.
