Dell has launched the 2026 Dell Pro Essential 14 and 15, a pair of entry level business laptops built for small companies. The updated machines arrive with a chassis that is 11% thinner and up to 16% lighter than the previous generation. Buyers in Japan can choose between Intel Wildcat Lake and AMD Hawk Point silicon.
Under the hood, Dell offers a split between Intel third generation Core Wildcat Lake processors and AMD Ryzen 200 Hawk Point chips. Port selection is practical for office desks. Both configurations carry 2 USB C ports, 2 USB A ports, an HDMI output, and a standard audio jack. If you pick the Intel model, you also get a dedicated RJ45 ethernet jack for hardwired office networking.
Display options include a 1920x1200 panel reaching 400 nits or a sharper 2560x1600 screen pushing 500 nits of brightness. Dell also tweaked the daily typing experience. The refreshed keyboard adds dedicated keys for voice input, quick screen captures, and a microphone mute button with its own LED status light. Beneath the keys, the trackpad surface area grew by 6% to give your fingers more room to glide.
Durability remains a focus for daily workplace travel. The chassis holds official MIL STD 810H military certification to survive drops and rough handling. On the security side, Dell packed a dedicated hardware TPM module into every unit to protect encryption keys and prevent unauthorized system tampering.
