DFRobot has introduced the LattePanda Mu Ultra, a compact x86 compute module powered by Intel Lunar Lake processors. Measuring just 60 by 69.6 millimeters, the board packs up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 chip with fast onboard memory and multiple expansion lanes. The hardware is available now with prices starting at $599.
According to technical details, the module uses Intel Core Ultra 200V series silicon. Buyers can configure the board with either the Core Ultra 5 226V or the Core Ultra 7 256V processor. Both versions include 16GB of LPDDR5X 8533 memory attached directly to the package. The physical footprint measures 60 by 69.6 millimeters, adhering to the established Mu series dimensions. This allows system builders to plug the new module directly into existing carrier boards without redesigning their base hardware.
The module offers substantial input and output capabilities for embedded applications. It provides 8 PCIe Gen4 lanes for attaching fast storage drives or discrete graphics cards. Connectivity includes 2 USB 10Gbps ports alongside 6 USB 480Mbps lines. For industrial control and robotics projects, the board features 14 GPIO pins, 3 UART interfaces, 3 I2C buses, and 1 CNVio3 interface for wireless networking cards.
Video capabilities are equally strong on this tiny board. The integrated graphics system can drive 3 independent displays at the same time using HDMI, DisplayPort, and eDP outputs. This makes the unit suitable for multi monitor workstations or digital signage setups that require compact internal components.
