FSP has expanded its small form factor lineup with the new DAGGER PM series Platinum SFX L power supplies. Available in 1000W and 1200W variants, these units feature native 12V 2x6 power connections, embossed modular cabling, and dual 80 PLUS and Cybenetics Platinum efficiency ratings. Retail pricing starts at roughly $180 USD for the base unit, with retail platforms stocking both models this week.
Building a compact gaming rig usually means making compromises on power delivery. FSP designed these units to remove that limitation. Measuring only 125mm in length, the chassis fits easily into mini ITX cases while adhering to the latest ATX12V 3.1 and SFX12V 4.1 hardware standards. The inclusion of a dedicated 12V 2x6 cable provides direct power to current graphics cards without messy adapters. Both units are engineered to handle instantaneous system power spikes up to 200% without triggering safety shutdowns.
Internal hardware relies on premium components to maintain clean voltage outputs. The platform uses a full bridge LLC topology combined with synchronous rectification and DC to DC conversion circuits. Japanese capacitors rated for 105C handle energy filtering. For cooling, FSP installed a 120mm FDB fan paired with heatsinks that make direct contact with the outer metal casing. When total power load stays below 30%, the fan stops spinning entirely to maintain silent operation under 30dB.
According to the official product listings from FSP, the hardware includes 8 electrical protection systems and dual gas discharge tubes to protect against lightning surges. The units operate in ambient temperatures up to 40C and include a 10 year manufacturer warranty. The 1000W version retails for 1299 yuan, which converts to approximately $180 USD. The 1200W flagship model costs 1399 yuan, or roughly $195 USD.
