Gigabyte Introduces B760M Aorus Ari Motherboard with DDR4 Support

Gigabyte has introduced the B760M Aorus Ari WiFi 6E DDR4, bringing back older memory support for budget focused builders. The board combines an anime inspired aesthetic with PCIe Gen5 support while skipping expensive DDR5 memory entirely. Pricing and regional availability remain under wraps for now.

High memory prices have made many PC builders hesitate to adopt DDR5 platforms. Gigabyte is answering that pushback by repurposing an established layout. The company previously sold a DDR5 version called the B760M Aorus Elite WiFi 6E P Gen5 under its early mascot design concept. This fresh release moves the hardware into the dedicated Aorus Ari lineup. It swaps out DDR5 memory traces for DDR4 while keeping almost everything else identical.

Power delivery relies on a 12 plus 1 plus 1 phase configuration. The core power setup uses a 6 plus 6 parallel layout backed by 60A DrMOS stages. The integrated graphics circuit uses an identical 60A DrMOS component. Everything sits on a 6 layer PCB built with 2 ounce copper to reduce signal loss. CPU power input comes through an 8 plus 4 pin EPS connector. This VRM setup gives mid tier Intel processors plenty of headroom for heavy gaming loads.

Memory support spans 4 DDR4 slots supporting non ECC and ECC UDIMM modules. The board can push memory overclocks up to 5333MT per second. Primary graphics cards run on a single PCIe Gen5 x16 slot. A secondary PCIe Gen4 x4 expansion slot handles add in cards. Storage connections include 2 M.2 slots running at PCIe Gen4 x4 speeds alongside 4 SATA III 6Gbps ports for traditional drives. Network traffic flows over 2.5GbE wired LAN or wireless WiFi 6E.
