HMD Global has revived a classic Nokia era nameplate with the official launch of the HMD Asha 305. The entry level device combines basic hardware with a lightweight software platform focused on long battery life and essential tasks. However, the company has not yet announced official retail pricing.
The physical footprint remains compact and lightweight. Built with a thickness of 10.2 millimeters, the phone weighs only 145 grams. It comes in 2 color options, black and lime green. Up front, you get a 5 inch LCD screen running at a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels. Optics are strictly basic. The phone features a 2MP selfie camera on the front and a 2MP single sensor on the back for quick snapshots.
Under the hood sits a Unisoc T137 processor. Memory is limited to 2GB of RAM, paired with 16GB of internal storage for basic apps and media. Power is supplied by a 2500mAh battery that charges at 5W speeds. Because the hardware requirements are so light, HMD claims the battery can deliver up to 32 hours of continuous uptime on a single charge.
On the software side, the device runs Pulse OS, a customized platform built on Android. The phone does not include Google Play services or standard Google apps out of the box. Instead, users must rely on HMDs own digital storefront to download lightweight software like TikTok Lite. This setup is tailored for simple web browsing and messaging without placing heavy demands on the low power processor.
