HORI has announced the Arcade Classic Pro, a customizable arcade stick designed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The peripheral features interchangeable control modules, full support for the original Switch, and PC compatibility through XInput. It is scheduled to launch early next year priced at 39,980 yen (approx. $258 USD).
The main selling point is a modular faceplate that lets players swap control hardware depending on the game. Both the left and right sections support 4 distinct input styles. Users can install an 8 way stick, a 4 way joystick, a trackball, or a spinner knob. There is also a hybrid module that packs an 8 way stick and a knob together. This setup caters to fighting games, classic arcade titles, and retro puzzle games on 1 device.
Beyond the swappable modules, the stick includes custom button mapping and adjustable rapid fire turbo settings. The controller is officially branded for Nintendo Switch 2 but works across multiple systems. Players can plug the device into the older Switch console or connect it to Windows PCs using native XInput support. HORI plans to release the hardware in Japan with tax included in the 39,980 yen price tag.
