Minisforum installed a built in 320W power supply paired with a cooling setup using phase change thermal material, a pure copper base, 6 heat pipes, and 2 fans. This thermal system handles 120W of continuous power delivery, with short bursts reaching 160W during peak computing workloads.
The chassis retains the slide rail quick release frame from the standard MS S1 MAX model. This modular layout allows users to slide the internal components out quickly for maintenance or deploy multiple units together inside standard server racks. Internal expansion includes 1 full length PCIe Gen4 x4 slot alongside 2 separate M.2 storage slots, with 1 running at Gen4 x4 and the other at Gen4 x1 speeds.
