NVIDIA has officially listed the RTX PRO 5500 Blackwell workstation graphics card on its website. The pro tier GPU pairs 21760 CUDA cores with a massive 84GB of GDDR7 memory for heavy enterprise computing tasks. It is designed specifically for rackmount workstation systems tackling agentic AI and complex physics simulations.
The new workstation card shares its core processor scale with the flagship consumer GeForce RTX 5090, packing 21760 CUDA cores built on the Blackwell architecture. But the memory setup is built specifically for data heavy enterprise jobs. It features 84GB of GDDR7 memory with error correcting code support to prevent calculation errors during long render runs.
Memory bandwidth reaches 1398 GB per second. This high throughput indicates a 448 bit memory bus running at 25 Gbps equivalent speeds. That gives engineers enough local memory bandwidth to run massive generative AI models without hitting processing walls.
For video production and rendering setups, NVIDIA included 3 NVENC encoders and 3 NVDEC decoders on the die. Display connectivity offers up to 4 DisplayPort 2.1b connections for multi monitor setups. Power consumption maxes out at 600W under full compute loads. Because of these intense thermals, NVIDIA is offering both active air cooling and liquid cooling options to match different server rack configurations.
The card targets engineering teams, animation studios, and research labs that need dense local computing power. NVIDIA has not posted pricing details on the product page yet, with hardware availability expected through official enterprise partners.
