OPPO has introduced the K14 Plus 5G, a mid range smartphone packing an 8000 mAh battery and complete IP69K ingress protection. The device features a 144 Hz AMOLED display and a 50 MP stabilized camera, running on a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor. It is launching in the Indian market with a starting price of $360.
Up front, the phone carries a 6.78 inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness tops out at 3600 nits, while slim 1.65 mm borders push the screen to body ratio to 93.6%. Under the hood, performance relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor, which clears 1,000,000 points in AnTuTu benchmarks. A 5000 mm² vapor chamber cooling unit keeps thermal throttling under control during heavy workloads.
The standout component is the 8000 mAh battery, built to retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after 6 years of daily use. Charging runs at 45W via cable, supported by bypass charging to prevent heat buildup and 10W reverse charging to top up external accessories. The phone is built with an aviation grade aluminum Armour Body and holds IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for total dust and high pressure water resistance.
Camera duties are handled by a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, supporting RAW image capture and a dedicated underwater photography mode. Selfies use a 16 MP Sony IMX480 sensor positioned in the front display cutout. The device runs on ColorOS 16, which includes AI LinkBoost 4.0 for signal stability and O+ Connect for direct file sharing with Apple products.
OPPO is releasing the smartphone in 3 memory tiers. The base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage sells for $360. Bumping memory to 8GB with 128GB of storage costs $395, while the top tier 8GB and 256GB version lands at $430.
