Philips has introduced the Evnia 34M2C8600P, an ultrawide curved gaming monitor that synchronizes surrounding room lighting with on screen action. The 34 inch QD OLED display pairs a 280 Hz refresh rate with the ability to control external smart lights throughout your space. The new panel arrives in European stores starting next month for £779.
Under the hood sits a fifth generation 34 inch QD OLED panel with an 1800R curve and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The screen runs at a sharp 3440x1440 resolution and pushes a fast 280 Hz refresh rate with Adaptive Sync support. Pixel response times sit at just 0.03 milliseconds grey to grey. Colors are vibrant. The panel covers 99.3% of the P3 color gamut, produces 1.07 billion shades with 10 bit depth, and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. An anti glare finish prevents ambient light from washing out dark scenes.
Ambient lighting is the standout feature here. The built in Ambiglow system casts matching color behind the chassis based on real time screen analysis. Philips took this a step further with AmbiScape. This system syncs with up to 10 Matter compatible smart bulbs in your living room to create full room immersion. You can adjust all lighting behavior directly through the Philips Evnia Precision Center software tool.
