Retroid Pocket has revealed the Duo and Duo Lite, two dual screen Android handheld gaming consoles built for retro emulation. Both folding systems feature a 6000mAh battery and active cooling, but the flagship Duo steps up to dual 120Hz OLED panels and a Qualcomm Q7790 chip running Android 16. Retroid Pocket shared the hardware teaser across its official video channels, though pricing and release schedules remain unannounced.
The standard Retroid Pocket Duo serves as the premium model in the lineup. It runs on a Qualcomm Q7790 processor paired with Android 16. The dual display layout features a top 5.5 inch 16 by 9 OLED panel and a bottom 4.5 inch 4 by 3 OLED panel, both refreshing at 120Hz for fluid gameplay and touch response. Ergonomics on the Duo include raised shoulder triggers that extend past the rear shell to give your fingers better grip during long gaming sessions.
The Duo Lite provides a more budget friendly alternative by adjusting key internal components. It runs Android 15 powered by a Qualcomm QCS6125 processor. Both displays on the Lite model switch to 60Hz LCD panels, using a 5.5 inch 16 by 9 screen on top and a 4.2 inch 4 by 3 screen on the bottom. Unlike the flagship version, the shoulder triggers on the Duo Lite remain flat against the case.
Both models share the same clamshell body structure with an internal active cooling fan to prevent thermal throttling. The top screen hinge supports 180 degrees of free hover positioning, letting you lock the upper display at whatever viewing angle you prefer. The inclusion of a large 6000mAh battery across both devices aims to provide extended playtime when running demanding emulation tasks across two active displays.
