Samsung has launched a new 14 inch Galaxy Book6 to lower the entry price for its mainstream laptop series. Starting at $799, the machine features Intel Core 3 and Core 5 processors, up to 25 hours of battery life, and an anti glare screen. The new model brings core Galaxy AI features to a more budget friendly price point.
With the new Galaxy Book6, we wanted to make the Galaxy Book experience available for more people. At a more accessible price, it brings together the everyday essentials users value, including dependable performance, long lasting battery life, connected Galaxy experiences, and Galaxy Book6 design DNA.
Battery endurance is the standout feature here. Samsung packed a 61.2Wh battery into the chassis, promising up to 25 hours of video playback on a single charge. That means you can leave your power adapter at home during work or classes. When you do need to plug in, the 45W charger gets the cell back to 33% in about 30 minutes. Under the hood, buyers get a choice between Intel Core 3 and Core 5 Series 3 chips alongside an NPU delivering up to 15 TOPS for localized artificial intelligence tasks.
The chassis keeps the clean styling of the more expensive models in the lineup. It measures 15.7 millimeters thick and weighs 1.35 kilograms, making it easy to slip into a backpack. Color choices include a classic Gray and a new Violet Silver finish. The screen is a 14 inch LCD with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution of 1920x1200, and 350 nits of brightness. Samsung treated the panel with an anti glare finish to cut down reflections under bright office lights.
You also get a sensible collection of ports. Samsung included 2 USB Type C ports with identical functionality so you do not have to guess which one charges the laptop. There is also 1 USB Type A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a standard 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. This selection lets you connect flash drives and external monitors without packing extra dongles.
Software integration focuses on productivity across other Samsung hardware. AI Select lets you highlight anything on the screen to search for context or translate text on the fly. Note Assist organizes and summarizes meeting notes, while AI Cut Out removes photo backgrounds instantly. For multi device setups, Multi Control lets you navigate a phone and PC using 1 mouse and keyboard. Second Screen turns a Galaxy Tab into a portable monitor, and Quick Share moves files between devices without cables.
The base model starts at $799 with memory choices of 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Internal storage options span 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB across PCIe solid state drives. The laptop runs Windows 11 out of the box and includes stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos alongside a 1080p camera for video meetings.
