ASUS has launched the TUF Gaming VG34WQML5F, a 34 inch curved gaming monitor that supports 3 distinct resolution and refresh rate modes reaching up to 420 Hz. The display features a Fast VA panel with a 1500R curvature and a 0.5 ms response time. ASUS has not yet revealed official pricing or retail availability for the new screen.
ASUS designed the monitor to switch between 3 display configurations depending on the game genre. The native ultra wide 3440x1440 resolution runs at 260 Hz for standard gaming. Competitive players can step down to 2580x1080 resolution to hit 320 Hz, or drop to 1720x720 resolution to reach the maximum 420 Hz refresh rate. The Fast VA panel delivers a 0.5 ms grey to grey response time, paired with ASUS ELMB SYNC technology to reduce motion blur during fast gameplay.
The screen meets VESA DisplayHDR 400 standards, reaching peak brightness levels of 400 nits in HDR mode. Color reproduction covers 95% of the DCI P3 color space for rich image output. Eye comfort features include Flicker Free backlighting and an integrated software blue light filter to reduce eye strain during extended gaming sessions.
Physical connectivity options include 2 DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an integrated hub with 3 USB A ports operating at speeds up to 5 Gbps. Audio is delivered through 2 built in 2W stereo speakers. The included desktop stand allows for 3 way physical adjustment, while standard VESA 100x100 mm mounting points support aftermarket monitor arms.
