Lenovo has released the ThinkBook 14 Gen 9 Q8Y, a productivity laptop powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Plus processor. The notebook stands out with an energy efficient setup that delivers up to 26 hours of video playback from a 50 Wh battery. European buyers can pick up the machine starting at €1099, with choices between light gray and dark gray finishes.
The laptop features a 14 inch IPS display running at 1200p resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate and 400 nits peak brightness. Qualcomm silicon powers the machine, pairing the Snapdragon X2 Plus chip with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory. Storage expansion relies on 2 separate slots for M.2 2242 and M.2 2280 format solid state drives. Factory configurations ship exclusively with an M.2 2242 drive, leaving the larger slot available for aftermarket upgrades.
Power delivery comes from a 50 Wh battery. Lenovo rates the machine for 26 hours of continuous 1080p local video playback at a screen brightness of 150 nits. Web browsing under identical lighting conditions yields up to 14.25 hours of active use on a single charge.
Physical connectivity includes 2 USB Type C ports, 2 USB Type A ports, an HDMI output, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a full size SD card reader. The entire package is available across European markets starting at €1099.
