Neighbors Suburban Warfare Launches Version 1.0 with Free to Play Model

Invisible Walls has officially launched version 1.0 of Neighbors Suburban Warfare across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. The multiplayer brawler transitions to a Free to Play model alongside the launch to improve matchmaking pools and support full cross play. Early Access buyers are receiving compensation packages that include the Premium Neighborhood Pass, character unlocks, and in game currency.

The shift to Free to Play aims directly at reducing queue times and expanding lobby populations across all platforms. Players who purchased the title during its Early Access period receive automatic account credits to offset the transition. These rewards grant immediate access to all playable characters, including the newly added hero Gwen. Backers also receive 2 character skins named P.A Flames and Cannon Flaming, a grant of 3000 Harmonies currency, and the Premium Neighborhood Pass, which matches the dollar value of the original purchase.

The 1.0 release expands the core game with several new additions. A new map environment called Suburban House joins the rotation, and Destruction Mode has undergone a comprehensive mechanical overhaul. Players can also access a dedicated Practice vs AI mode to test character abilities against computer opponents before entering public matches. On the console side, the settings menu now includes manual toggles for brightness levels and vertical sync.

Invisible Walls expanded network coverage by adding 2 new server regions covering East Asia and South Brazil. The launch patch addresses multiple crash issues on PlayStation hardware, including disconnects during match result screens, inventory saves, and active server pinging. Character balance changes include a reduced cooldown on the cannon placement for P.A, lower maximum damage for the Mary Jean bunny slipper attack, reduced healing output for Gramps, and an offensive damage increase for the PomPom Impulse ability used by Gwen.
