AYN Drops Odin 3 Portal Charging Speed to 45W Before Official Launch

AYN has adjusted the official charging specification for the Odin 3 Portal handheld console right before sending out initial customer orders. The company reduced the maximum charging capability from 60W down to 45W following an internal documentation error. Pricing in the United States begins at $419, with the first delivery wave scheduled to start soon.

AYN confirmed the change directly to customers on its official Discord server, offering an apology for the miscommunication. Internal records contained conflicting numbers during the original product reveal, which led to the incorrect 60W marketing claim. Production units will cap power draw at 45W across every retail configuration.

The rest of the internal components remain identical to earlier announcements. The console runs on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, kept cool by an active fan system. Up front, players get a 7 inch OLED screen. A 9000 mAh battery supplies power for mobile gaming sessions. Buyers can pick between 4 hardware configurations offering 12GB or 16GB of RAM alongside internal storage options ranging from 128GB to 1TB.

Retail pricing in the United States opens at $419 for the base 12GB and 128GB model. The top tier Max edition with 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage costs $699. AYN originally planned to begin customer deliveries early in the month, but the manufacturer has not yet announced the exact day shipments will start leaving the factory.
