Beelink has launched the ME Pro, a modular network attached storage system featuring a swappable motherboard and local AI processing power. The system comes in 2 bay and 4 bay configurations, allowing users to move compute modules between different chassis sizes without replacing storage drives. Early bird pricing starts at $299 through Kickstarter with shipping scheduled for late this year.
The main motherboard operates as a slide out module compatible with both Intel and AMD processors. Users can swap this compute unit between the 2 drive and 4 drive metal enclosures. Beelink designed the metal chassis to occupy 50% less physical desk space compared to traditional storage units with the same drive count.
Thermal hardware combines thermal conductive silicone, aluminum plates, a vapor chamber, and an internal cooling fan to support non stop operation. The frame suppresses hard drive vibrations, keeping operating noise levels around 34 dB.
The hardware runs factory installed Fygo OS, providing tools for file backup, data recovery, and remote network access. For team media workflows, the factory loaded Seek platform allows users to preview files, convert media formats, manage user permissions, and share content directly.
Configurations featuring the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 deliver up to 86 TOPS of computing power. This allows the system to run large local AI models without cloud connections, including Qwen 3.5 with 35 billion parameters, DeepSeek R1 with 32 billion parameters, and Gemma 4 with 26 billion parameters.
