FiiO Releases SNOWSKY MAGE Gaming DAC with 7.1 Audio and 60W Charging

FiiO has introduced the SNOWSKY MAGE, a retro gaming styled DAC and headphone amplifier designed for desktop and mobile play. The compact audio interface features dedicated AI processing, 7.1 channel surround simulation, and 60W power pass through. The device retails in China for 99 yuan, which converts to approximately $14 USD.

FiiO builds the SNOWSKY MAGE around a PrinChip SPV6040D on device audio AI processor paired with a Texas Instruments OPA330 operational amplifier. High precision metal film resistors and low ESR tantalum capacitors stabilize the electrical feed. The circuitry delivers an output impedance of 5.5 ohms, output power of 27mW at 32 ohms, a signal to noise ratio of 105dB, and total harmonic distortion under 0.004%. Digital decoding covers PCM streams up to 32bit at 384kHz alongside native DSD256 files.

The unit processes 8 independent audio channels to generate a simulated 7.1 surround soundstage for positional audio in games. Built in firmware offers 7 music profiles and 4 gaming acoustic presets, with a mobile app providing access to 10 band parametric equalizer adjustments. Physical connections include 2 USB C ports and 3 3.5mm analog jacks. One USB C port supports 60W USB power delivery pass through to charge a phone or handheld console while the user plays.

The exterior adopts the physical profile of a classic handheld game console, sold in 3 colors: Jungle Green, Shadow Black, and Desert Grey. FiiO has launched the unit across domestic Chinese retailers for 99 yuan (around $14 USD), targeting budget conscious players looking for wired audio latency reductions.
