OrangePi Zero 3W Pro Announced with Rockchip RK3576 Processor

OrangePi has officially announced the OrangePi Zero 3W Pro, a compact single board computer built around the Rockchip RK3576 processor. Measuring just 65 by 30 millimeters, the miniature board brings mid range processing power and up to 16GB of memory to the ultra small form factor. OrangePi designed the unit to process local media decoding and lightweight artificial intelligence tasks in space constrained environments.

The board runs on the Rockchip RK3576 general computing processor. Memory configurations scale up to 16GB of LPDDR RAM. Storage options cover eMMC flash, fast UFS modules, or standard microSD cards, with additional support for PCIe and SATA storage expansion via adapter boards. An integrated Neural Processing Unit and Video Processing Unit allow the system to execute local AI inference and hardware video decoding without relying on external network compute.

Wireless communication is handled by onboard Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 modules. Display options include a Mini HDMI port alongside a USB C 5Gbps port that supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode video output. Developers also get access to MIPI CSI camera inputs, MIPI DSI display connections, and a standard 40 pin GPIO header for expansion accessories. A 2 pin 5V PWM header provides direct fan speed control for active cooling, while physical RJ45 ethernet is omitted entirely to keep the board dimensions as small as possible.
