Razer has released the Hammerhead V3 Chroma, bringing active noise cancellation and RGB lighting to wired in ear gaming audio. The earbuds connect through an angled USB C plug and feature dual acoustic drivers inside each earpiece. The headset is available now, priced at $80 in the US and €90 across Europe.
Razer places 2 individual drivers in each earpiece to split sound frequencies. An 11 mm dynamic driver controls low bass frequencies, while a separate 6 mm driver outputs high treble tones. Active noise cancellation filters out background room noise for better focus during play. On PC systems, users can enable THX 7.1 virtual surround sound through Razer Synapse 4 to track positional audio cues like footsteps and gunfire.
The cable includes an inline remote control paired with an omnidirectional microphone for voice chat. This control unit lets users toggle noise cancellation, adjust volume, and switch between 4 preset sound profiles tuned for gaming, music, movies, and voice calls. Both earpieces feature Razer Chroma RGB lighting capable of 16.8 million colors that sync with other Razer peripherals. An IPX4 rating protects the internal components against sweat and water splashes.
The headset connects to smartphones, tablets, portable gaming consoles, and PCs through a USB C connector. Razer shaped this connector with a 90 degree angle to keep the wire clear of player hands during handheld gaming sessions. Custom equalizers and profile adjustments can be saved directly through the companion software on supported platforms.
