Team Group Secures Taiwan Invention Patents for Magnetic and Trackable SSDs

Team Group has secured 2 new invention patents in Taiwan for its specialized portable solid state drives. The legal protections cover magnetic mounting mechanics on the PD20M Mag and Apple Find My location tracking on the T CREATE EXPERT P34F. Both external drives are currently available through global retail channels for mobile creators and smartphone users.

The PD20M Mag uses proprietary magnetic hardware to fasten directly onto mobile devices. It measures 8.2 millimeters thick and weighs 40 grams, connecting securely to MagSafe compatible hardware. When plugged into an iPhone 15 Pro or newer model, the drive writes Apple ProRes video footage straight to internal storage without requiring additional brackets. This design eliminates cable clutter for mobile videographers. The Taiwan patent follows previously granted invention protections in the United States and utility model approvals in Japan.

The T CREATE EXPERT P34F introduces internal location tracking hardware into a portable drive shell. Users pair the drive directly with Apple hardware to monitor its location using the Apple Find My application. An integrated speaker sounds an audio alarm to help locate the unit in close quarters, while a physical lanyard loop secures the unit to camera bags. The Taiwan invention patent expands on earlier utility model protections granted across China and Taiwan.

Team Group focuses on physical utility to separate its storage hardware from competing external flash drives. Tying physical magnets and tracking chips directly into solid state drives targets content creators who shoot on location and need to safeguard creative assets. The company stated that ongoing research spending will continue targeting practical hardware patents to secure long term market share in external storage.
