Infinix is cooking up something awesome for mobile gamers. They've given us a hint at a new gaming phone, which is still dubbed the GT, and it has a really cool trick up its sleeve: a transformable back panel.
Get to know DynaVue: A Back Panel That Comes To Life
The secret. It's a technology known as DynaVue by Infinix. Using electrochromic technology (think of specific materials that respond to electricity), the back of the phone is able to transform with different designs. Think about your phone resting there being dark and cool but as soon as you get called or use the camera, one of these hidden patterns comes onto the back of the phone. That's kind of dynamic graphical flair Infinix is striving for.
More Than RGB Lights
Infinix suggests this is not just another way of looking at RGB lighting. They explain that DynaVue can cover a much larger portion of the back of the phone, creating a more dramatic effect without interfering with how you would hold or use the phone. It's a creative solution to personalizing a phone.
Still Cooking: Prototype Phase
Hold your horses just for a sec, though. The pictures we see are of a prototype. Infinix is working on the GT phone, but they've said nothing about when it will actually go on sale. For now, it's a fascinating glimpse at a potential future of smartphone design.
