AMD Keeps Big CPU Market Lead in July 2025 Sales Data
The latest sales numbers from big shops in Europe and the US for July 2025 show AMD still way ahead in the CPU market for everyday users. The stats show Intel having a hard time catching up, with AMD holding more than 90% of the CPU market in some places and taking all the top 10 best-seller spots in others.
Data from Mindfactory (Germany) Shows AMD with Over 90% Share
In Germany, numbers from the store Mindfactory make AMD’s lead clear. Key points from the month are:
- Unit Share: AMD sold 12,545 CPU units versus Intel's 1,100 units.
- Revenue Share: AMD took about 93.66% of the total money, making almost 4 million Euros, while Intel made about 272,000 Euros.
- Top Seller Gap: The top AMD CPU, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, sold 32 times more than Intel's top chip, the Core Ultra 7 265K, which only sold 90 units and didn't make it into the top 20.
- Average Selling Price (ASP): AMD's ASP stood at 320 Euros, higher than Intel's 247 Euros.
Amazon US Best-Sellers List Full of AMD
In the US, according to Amazon's best-seller list, AMD is also leading. Intel's sales are a bit better than in Germany but still don’t touch the top group.
- Top 10 Control: AMD CPUs from the Ryzen 9000, 7000, and 5000 series held all top 10 best-selling CPU spots.
- Intel's Spot: Intel's best chip, the Core Ultra 7 265K, was 11th with about 2,000 units sold.
- AMD's Top CPUs: The Ryzen 7 9800X3D was the leader with about 9,000 units sold, followed closely by the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
What Keeps AMD Ahead
Several things keep AMD on top. The lasting appeal and value of the AM4 platform keep selling the Ryzen 5000 series, with models like the Ryzen 5 5500 priced well at $72. In July, AM4 chips made up 2,075 units sold at Mindfactory. Intel’s new Arrow Lake platform only sold 250 units, less than their older 12th, 13th, and 14th generation chips combined (830 units).
Looking Ahead
With these trends and Intel's next big release expected to be just a refresh of Arrow Lake, AMD will likely keep its strong market spot through the year.
