Nvidia Outlines DLSS 4 and Path Tracing for Borderlands 4, Resident Evil Requiem During Gamescom 2025
At Gamescom 2025, it was announced by Nvidia that the DLSS 4 technique is now adopted by more than 175 games and applications. Particularly the newest titles that were announced to include this feature are Borderlands 4 and Resident Evil Requiem, which will be made possible by multi-frame generation and full path tracing.
Key Nvidia RTX Titles Going Forth
Anticipated games to feature the said technology will have their GeForce RTX 50 series GPU-owners really looking forward to the launch or presentation of the titles.
Borderlands 4: Multi Frame Generation
Multi frame generation at launch on September 12 for the forthcoming looter shooter Borderlands 4 will rely heavily on Blackwell GPUs-only to generate a great boost in frame rates. The game will feature Nvidia Reflex, which will reduce potentially perceived input latency. Nvidia has confirmed that it is bringing a Borderlands 4 bundle with its RTX 50 series graphics cards.
Resident Evil Requiem & Directive 8020: Path Tracing
Two survival horror titles will make use of full path tracing to deliver more realistic lighting effects. Resident Evil Requiem is earmarked for release in February 2026, while Directive 8020 is also scheduled for the same year and is expected to make use of this advanced form of ray tracing to create atmosphere and enhance visual fidelity.
