Getac Announces V120 and F120 Rugged Devices with Intel Core Ultra
Getac has just announced two new 12.2-inch devices: the V120 rugged 2-in-1 laptop and the F120 rugged tablet PC. Built to withstand the harshest of conditions, they are powered by Intel's Core Ultra processors and meant for professionals who require durable and reliable computing in the field.
Getac V120 Rugged 2-in-1 Laptop
A convertible design with durability and performance in mind, the V120 features include:
- Rugged Certifications: IP66, MIL-STD-810H, and MIL-STD-461G certified. Survives 4-foot (1.2m) drops, water jets, dust, and shock.
- Operating Temperature: -29°C to 63°C (-20°F to 145°F).
- Performance: Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 CPUs, up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, and up to 2 TB of NVMe storage.
- Display: A 12.2-inch 1920 x 1200 touchscreen with 1,000-nit brightness for outdoor visibility.
- Connectivity: Dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional 4G/5G.
- Power: Dual hot-swappable lithium batteries for continuous operation.
- Weight and Dimensions: 2.1 kg (4.63 lbs) and 313 x 238 x 35.7 mm.
Getac F120 Rugged Tablet PC
The F120 is a dedicated tablet PC with a lighter form factor and much better drop protection.
- Rugged Certifications: IP66 and MIL-STD-810H certified. Designed to survive 6-foot (1.8m) drops against water jets, dust, and shock.
- Operating Temperature: -29°C to 63°C (-20°F to 145°F).
- Performance: Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 CPUs, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 2 TB of NVMe storage.
- Display: A 12.2-inch, 1920 x 1200 touchscreen with an even brighter 1,200-nit display for better visibility against direct sunlight.
- Cameras: A 5 MP front-facing webcam and a 13 MP rear camera.
- Connectivity: One USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, dock connector, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, optional 4G/5G, and Ethernet.
- Battery: Two hot-swappable lithium batteries.
- Weight and Dimensions: 1.41 kg (3.11 lbs) and 300 x 207 x 22.2 mm.
Availability
The Getac V120 rugged 2-in-1 laptop and the Getac F120 rugged tablet PC are expected to be available in October 2025.
