Huawei Mate 80 Series Rumors Point to November 2025 Launch
The Huawei Mate 80 series may launch around early November 2025, as per recent claims. According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, the series will bring in a new Kirin chipset, massive changes in camera hardware, and displays.
Timeline of Launch and New Kirin SoC
Although a December launch is possible, November is more likely for now. Also in support of this is the rumor that the series' standard model has apparently passed regulatory approvals. A new Kirin system-on-a-chip at the center of the Mate 80 series is rumored to be either Kirin 9030 or Kirin 9100, built on a 6nm process with ARM CPU cores.
A new 2-in-1 tablet is expected to be released together with the phones, which are to be available in Moonlight Silver and Space Gray.
Hardware Upgrades Cooling, Charging, and Battery
At least one Mate 80 model is supposedly a fan-cooled device. This could be an important differentiator in the flagship space. The series is also expected to receive a huge upgrade in power delivery:
- Wired Charging: 100W support
- Wireless Charging: 80W support
- Battery Capacity: Very large batteries ranging from 5,600mAh to 6,000mAh, depending on the model.
Redesigned Cameras and Advanced Displays
The Mate 80 series is believed to come with a newly designed circular camera island. Within this circle, the Pro models may adopt either a new triangular lens arrangement. Key camera sensor upgrades are also rumored:
- Main Sensor: The Pro+ model might come with a brand-new 50MP LOFIC main sensor.
- High Megapixel Sensor: According to reports, Huawei has been testing a 200MP sensor, although its exact application in the lineup remains unconfirmed.
And the displays were supposed to be something to reckon with. The regular Mate 80 may have a 6.74-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED flat screen while the Pro+ could boast a 6.88-inch quad-curved display with a pioneering dual-layer OLED for delivering much greater performance.
Expected Colors
For the standard Mate 80, it is said to be available in black, white, and turquoise. The Pro models may go with wider options, including gold, green, purple, and silver.
