Kvadra TAU mini Russian-Made Mini-PC with Astra Linux and RED OS Support
The Russian company Yadro has announced mass production of a new mini-PC Kvadra TAU mini. This compact device is intended for office use within commercial and government sectors, with emphasis on interoperability with domestic Russian operating systems. The mini-PC is duly entered into the Russian Electronic Products Register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Kvadra TAU mini Specifications
Based on information provided at the official Kvadra brand website, the mini-PC is being built with lines of hardware:
- Processor: Configurable with Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 CPUs of the 12th, 13th, and 14th generations.
- Memory: 64GB maximum via two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots.
- Storage: An M.2 NVMe slot along with a potential bay for a 2.5-inch SATA drive.
- Connectivity: A complete suite of interfaces including USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm TRRS audio jack, 2.5-Gbps Ethernet, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, D-Sub (VGA), and RS-232 serial port.
- The wireless connection has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support.
Software Support and Security Features
Wide software compatibility is, therefore, assured with Kvadra TAU mini, supporting Microsoft Windows 10 Pro and 11 Pro. Moreover, it is fully compatible with domestic operating systems-I.e. Astra Linux, Alt OS and RED OS.
A significant feature in the security is that the machine features a chassis intrusion sensor that detects unauthorized access when the case is opened. Upon activation, it locks the access to the system and sends a notification about a potential breach to the administrator.
