ASUS Releases RTX 5060 Ti EVO 16G for Compact PCs
ASUS has added one of the new flavors of graphics card, namely Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti EVO 16G. The new model of choice from ASUS is compactly designed along with another unique engineering property intended for small form factor-based systems.
Redesigned to fit in little spaces
Modification to physical dimensions and cooling apparatus constitutes the main change in the card. The clock speed is the same, up to a maximum of 2602 MHz, for this card but:
- Cooling System: has completely redesigned heatsink featuring vertical fins and hidden heat pipes. Two Axial-tech fans are now thinner in height.
- Reduced Footprint: has reduced the size of the card's thickness from 2.5 to 2.1 slots and has shortened its length by approximately 4 mm.
- An Odd Power Connector: The change is the relocation of the 8-pin power connector on the left side of the card, next to the interface panel.
- Removed Features: ASUS has removed PCB corner reinforcements (GPU Guard) and Dual BIOS switch that were found on other models.
PCIe 5.0 x8 interface Explained
Another positive feature is with a 'shrunken' PCIe 5.0 x8 interface compared to the traditional x16 connector, yet would rather not lend to performance loss as the RTX 5060 Ti inherently functions in x8 mode. The full connector is mainly for the mechanical stability of most cards as well as for the equipment compatibility on many circuit boards.
Price and Availability
No announcement has been made from ASUS regarding the pricing or availability of the Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti EVO 16G.
