The Thunderobot Zero Air, a 1.6 kg 16-inches gaming laptop, soon to be premiered at CES 2026

Just ahead of a full debut that is scheduled for CES 2026, Thunderobot has offered a preliminary look at its new Zero Air gaming laptop. The 16-inch device stands out for its light weight of around 1.6 kg and for being among the first laptops announced with Intel's Panther Lake processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs.

Next-Generation Core Components

The installation of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50 series laptop GPUs will run in tandem with Intel's Panther Lake architecture in the Zero Air. Though precise configurations have yet to be established, options for processors could include Core Ultra 7 366H or Core Ultra X7 358H, or another OEM choice from the Panther Lake series, as suggested in an accompanying press release.

Design, Weight, and Features

A key aspect of Thunderobot Zero Air is its weight of around 1.6 kg, a very light weight for a 16-inch-sized gaming laptop. The source states that this is indeed true for its size class; nevertheless, lighter still are the 14-inch models such as the Triton 14 AI and ROG Zephyrus G14.

From a preview video, a few design features were observed:

  • Display: A 16-inch screen featuring a built-in numberpad on the keyboard deck.
  • Cooling: A quad heatpipe cooling solution is visible from an internal layout standpoint.
  • Ports: A few rear-mounted ports such as Ethernet, HDMI, USB Type-A, and USB Type-C.

Official Debut at CES 2026

Though some preliminary information was published, Thunderobot will conduct a full official introduction of the Zero Air at the CES 2026 show in Las Vegas.
