AMD has rolled out its latest Adrenalin Edition 26.9.1 optional graphics driver for Radeon users. The update delivers official support for 2 new titles alongside crash fixes for Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. However, AMD has listed several known bugs that may affect Windows 10 users and budget hardware configurations.
The optional package brings day 1 optimizations for Onimusha Way of the Sword and Blood of the Dawnwalker. Beyond new game support, the patch resolves stability problems on newer hardware. Specifically, owners of AMD Radeon RX 9000 series cards should no longer experience sudden game crashes while running Starfield and Apex Legends.
According to official release notes from AMD, players should be aware of a few lingering bugs. Installing the package on Windows 10 might automatically disable AMD Smart Access Memory. Gamers who rely on this memory feature will need to check their software settings after finishing the installation. In regions where network restrictions block access to GitHub or HuggingFace, the setup tool might fail to install certain optional AI component packages.
Other software quirks involve specific game settings. In A Plague Tale Resonance, turning off frame generation can cause Anti Lag 2 to appear inactive in the control panel. AMD also addressed video memory limits for Cyberpunk 2077, which requires a minimum of 6GB of VRAM. Players running the game on a Radeon RX 9050 with 4GB of memory are advised to drop heavy visual settings to low or turn them off completely to avoid stability drops.
This optional beta release is available now for all compatible desktop and laptop Radeon graphics cards. Users can grab the update package directly through the AMD Adrenalin application interface or download the standalone installer from the official AMD support website.
