ASUS has released the ProArt PRT BE5000, a Wi Fi 7 router built specifically for digital creators and studio workloads. The router combines an AI traffic engine with two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports and Multi Link Operation to cut latency during heavy uploads. It is now available in China priced at $212.
Under the hood, ASUS packed a 4 core MediaTek processor clocked at 2.0 GHz alongside 1 GB of DDR4 memory. This silicon handles the heavy data loads common in multi user creative spaces. Total wireless bandwidth tops out at 5000 Mbps across two broadcast channels. The 5 GHz channel delivers up to 4320 Mbps for large media transfers, while the 2.4 GHz band provides up to 688 Mbps for basic connectivity. Support for Multi Link Operation lets connected gear send and receive packets across both bands at the exact same time. This kills transmission lag.
Physical connectivity centers on 2 Ethernet ports rated at 2.5 Gbps each. The unit supports Dual WAN operation with automated failover built into the firmware. If your primary internet line drops out, the system automatically redirects internet requests to a secondary line without interrupting current cloud rendering tasks. Studios needing wider physical coverage can sync the unit with existing ASUS hardware using the AiMesh feature.
Security is managed through integrated AiProtection software. It isolates infected hardware on the network and blocks visits to harmful websites in real time. The router also lets administrators create 3 completely independent wireless networks from 1 access point. This makes it easy to assign smart office appliances, guest devices, and core production machines to their own isolated bands with unique access rules.
