CHERRY XTRFY has launched the MK Ascent magnetic switch for custom gaming keyboards. The switch combines a high transparency housing with a dust resistant POM stem and an N52 neodymium permanent magnet. Pricing starts at 24.9 yuan for a 10 pack on the Chinese market.
CHERRY built the MK Ascent to provide smooth travel while keeping RGB lighting clear. A transparent polycarbonate upper cover pairs with an integrated light guide column to pass through backlight illumination. Inside the housing sits a full POM stem equipped with a dust wall to block dirt and debris from entering the mechanism. The core assembly uses a strong N52 neodymium iron boron permanent magnet paired with a custom 16mm spring. For the base, the manufacturer used a specially tuned PA66 nylon bottom housing to produce a crisp bottom out sound.
The mechanical specs deliver a lightweight keypress with rapid rebound. Total travel distance measures 3.5mm with an initial resistance of 30gf. Reaching the 2mm mark requires 40gf of force with a 5gf variance window. When installed on a standard 1.6mm circuit board, the initial magnetic flux registers at 95GS with a 15GS margin. Pressing the switch down to full travel increases the magnetic reading to 580GS with a 30GS margin, ensuring precise analog input detection for gaming.
CHERRY XTRFY offers the MK Ascent across multiple pack sizes to fit different keyboard layouts. The base 10 pack sells for 24.9 yuan, bringing the cost per unit to 2.49 yuan. A 20 pack costs 47.9 yuan, while a 35 pack runs for 79 yuan. Larger sets lower the unit price further. The 50 pack costs 110 yuan at 2.2 yuan per switch, the 70 pack is priced at 147 yuan, and an 80 pack costs 165 yuan. Builders assembling a full size keyboard can pick up a 110 pack for 220 yuan, which drops the individual switch cost down to 2 yuan flat.
