CHUWI has unveiled the UniBox AI495 Pro at IFA Berlin, introducing a compact desktop built to run massive artificial intelligence models locally. Powered by the flagship AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor, the mini PC packs 192GB of unified memory and a 40 core Radeon 8065S GPU into a 2.9 liter chassis. However, CHUWI has not yet announced official pricing or launch dates.
Running large language models locally usually demands bulky server racks or multiple desktop graphics cards. The UniBox AI495 Pro bypasses that requirement. At its core sits the AMD Gorgon Halo processor built on Zen 5 architecture, delivering 16 cores and 32 threads with boost speeds reaching 5.2 GHz. The system provides 131 TOPS of total artificial intelligence compute, backed by a 55 TOPS XDNA 2 neural processing unit that meets Microsoft Copilot+ PC requirements.
Memory capacity is the main highlight here. The system carries 192GB of LPDDR5x 8533 memory over a 256 bit bus with 273 GB per second of bandwidth. Users can allocate up to 160GB of that pool directly as video memory. This allows the machine to load and execute local 300 billion parameter models at 4 bit quantization entirely on the desktop.
Graphical duties fall on the integrated Radeon 8065S GPU, which features 40 RDNA 3.5 compute cores. CHUWI states this chip outperforms a dedicated desktop RTX 4060 graphics card, making it capable of running modern AAA games at 1080p with high frame rates. It turns the workstation into a capable gaming box when you are not running local code or AI workloads.
The entire system is housed inside an X Frame enclosure measuring 209.6 by 209.6 by 67 millimeters. For external expansion, the rear panel includes dual 10Gbps ethernet ports, an OCuLink port for external add in boards, and dual 40Gbps USB4 ports. CHUWI confirmed that the series will also include a secondary model called the UniBox AI395, with pricing and release windows for both units coming later.
