HP has launched the OmniBook 3 17, a large screen laptop equipped with the new Intel Wildcat Lake processors and Wi Fi 7 connectivity. The machine arrives as an alternative to existing AMD Ryzen configurations, offering screen choices from 900p up to 1080p touch panels. US pricing starts at $999 and reaches $2029 for top tier configurations.
The laptop targets daily workloads with fresh Intel silicon. The entry model carries a 6 core Core 5 315 chip with a built in NPU capable of 15 TOPS for localized artificial intelligence tasks. Users needing more power can step up to the Core 5 320 or the Core 7 350.
Shoppers can pick from 4 distinct screen options, including touch enabled versions. The baseline display uses a 900p TN panel with 250 nits of brightness. For better color and clarity, HP offers a 1080p IPS panel that reaches 300 nits.
Memory options range from 8GB to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Solid state storage options span from 256GB to 1TB on a PCIe Gen 4 bus. HP powers the laptop with either a 41Wh or a 68Wh battery pack, giving users a choice between lighter weight and longer battery life.
Wireless networking includes Wi Fi 7 alongside Bluetooth 6.0 for connecting peripherals. Physical connectivity is extensive. The chassis holds 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 2 USB A ports, 2 USB C ports supporting Power Delivery 3.0, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
