Motorola has officially unveiled the Edge 70 Plus, a smartphone sporting a 200 MP primary camera and an exceptionally bright AMOLED screen. The handset packs a massive 6500 mAh battery alongside a durable shell certified to withstand harsh environments. European buyers will be able to pick one up in an 8GB and 256GB configuration priced at €599.
The visual hardware is one of the standout elements on this model. Motorola fitted a 6.78 inch Extreme AMOLED panel offering a sharp 2772x1272 resolution and a fast 144 Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches up to 5200 nits, making outdoor visibility effortless even under direct sunlight. This 10 bit screen covers 100% of the P3 color space and supports HDR10+ content. An optical fingerprint scanner rests beneath the glass surface, which is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i to prevent scratches.
Under the hood sits a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. For photography, the rear panel houses a 200 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 2 MP macro camera, and an ambient light sensor. Selfies are handled by a 32 MP front facing camera situated inside a small cutout at the top of the display.
Power comes from a large 6500 mAh battery built for long runtimes between charges. The chassis carries an IP64 rating for dust and water splash resistance alongside MIL STD 810H durability certification. On the software side, the device boots Android 16 with the Hello UX interface out of the box. Motorola is offering the phone in 3 Pantone certified shades: pink, green, and blue.
