Instead, external developers must provide direct Model Context Protocol connections or open application interfaces. The Doubao engineering team is currently negotiating with top app makers to open these secure pipelines.
Software tasks run across 4 core priorities: comprehension, action, memory, and data safety. The handset can handle multi step chores across separate programs, such as finding the best deal on an item or organizing a full travel itinerary. Privacy is a central focus here. The primary model computation runs locally on the phone rather than on remote web servers. This on device setup significantly lowers the chance of personal data leaks and already carries official generative AI regulatory clearance.
Official promotional material shows the phone in 4 color options: blue, dreamy pink, black, and white.
