Sharkoon has launched the Stealthbite IEM, a set of wired in ear monitors featuring a 10 millimeter hybrid dual driver setup. The audio package pairs a dynamic driver and balanced armature system with a dedicated USB audio converter. The set is currently available across European markets for 39.90 Euros.
The hardware uses a dual chamber acoustic structure to house its 1 dynamic driver and 1 balanced armature driver. This hybrid configuration covers a frequency response range spanning 20 to 40000 Hz with a sensitivity rating of 87 dB at 1 kHz and 32 ohms of impedance. The cable features an omnidirectional microphone covering 100 to 5000 Hz with a pickup sensitivity rated at 40 dB.
According to details published by IT Home, the included Stealthbite DAC runs on a KT02H20 sound chip from KTMicro. It delivers up to 30 mW of output power while maintaining a signal to noise ratio of 110 dB. Digital audio playback supports resolution up to 32 bit at 384 kHz, driving headphones with impedance ratings between 16 and 32 ohms. This separate converter handles the digital processing so mobile devices without dedicated audio jacks can output clean sound.
